Wittenborg Expands Its Connections at ICEF Africa in Ghana

Michael Sheppard Strengthens Wittenborg’s Network Across Africa

Following recent recruitment visits across Asia and Central Asia, Wittenborg is continuing its global outreach with participation in ICEF Africa in Accra, Ghana. The event brings together around 300 participants, including 100 representatives from universities and higher education institutions worldwide and 200 student recruitment agencies from across Africa.

ICEF Africa is a key B2B event in international education, creating opportunities for institutions to connect with trusted recruitment partners and develop long-term collaborations across the continent. For Wittenborg, the event supports an important goal: expanding access to its international programmes and welcoming talented students from more countries around the world.

As one of the most international business schools in the Netherlands, Wittenborg continues to focus on building a diverse global student community. Africa, with its wide range of cultures, perspectives and emerging opportunities, plays an increasingly important role in this mission.

Reflecting on his experience in Accra, Recruitment & Sales Representative Michael Sheppard highlighted the energy of the city and the warmth of its people.

“I absolutely loved the atmosphere. The people had such a great combination of friendliness and positive energy,” he said.

Sheppard also expressed his optimism about the future of student recruitment from Africa.

“I am very positive about this event. We are already receiving fantastic students from many countries in Africa, and as the second largest and second most populous continent, it still has much more to offer in terms of diversity, representation and amazing students,” he said.
