Staff and Students Enjoy Karaoke and Bowling in Apeldoorn & Amsterdam

May Academic Block Events Bring Staff and Students Together

Wittenborg brought its community together this April with a series of social events in Apeldoorn and Amsterdam, offering students and staff the opportunity to connect, relax, and enjoy activities outside the classroom.

Karaoke Night in Apeldoorn

As part of the May Academic Block get-togethers, Wittenborg’s annual Karaoke Night took place on Friday, 24 April 2026, at Teun Apeldoorn. The evening gathered students and staff for music, dancing, and a lively atmosphere filled with energy and laughter.

During the event, the prize draw for the National Student Survey (NSE) 2026 was also held. Students who submitted proof of participation were entered into the draw, with winners announced during the evening.

Allegra Zazzaro, Digital Content & Community Administrator, reflected on the evening:

“The karaoke event was a fantastic experience. Students sang their favourite songs and enjoyed a fun-filled evening together. It was wonderful to witness and see everyone so happy.”

Wittenborg student Victor Vestergaard shared his experience: “The event was very enjoyable, since it gave me the chance to meet friends I don’t see every day in class and also connect with people from the university in a fun and relaxed way.

“The highlight of the evening was definitely singing karaoke in front of everyone. Even though I am not the best singer, I really enjoyed performing and celebrating with my friends.

“A standout moment was when everyone gathered on the dance floor – singing, dancing, and enjoying the evening with drinks and a lot of laughter.”

Wittenborg student Zhoana Moradi also reflected on the atmosphere of the evening:

“It was fun and very active. I loved to see my classmates getting together in one place and having so much fun. Singing Jealousy, Jealousy by Olivia Rodrigo was definitely a highlight for me because it’s one of my favourite songs.”

Games Night in Amsterdam

Students also enjoyed an action-packed Games Night in Amsterdam, held at Aloha Amsterdam, a popular entertainment venue in the city. The evening gave students the chance to take part in laser tag and enjoy bowling.

The combination of friendly competition and relaxed fun created a vibrant atmosphere, allowing students to connect outside the classroom while taking part in engaging group activities.
